Monku runs on coins. A new monk starts with 89 free coins — enough for about a month and a half of school-day practice.
3 coins a day, school days only. A day is charged the first time your child does a quest that day. Saturdays, Sundays and Philippine holidays are free — extra practice at the weekend never costs anything.
Days you skip cost nothing. There is no monthly clock running down. Away on holiday, or busy for a fortnight? The balance is exactly where you left it.
When the coins run out, new quests pause until you top up. Nothing is deleted — the level, the XP, the streak and everything your child has earned stays exactly as it was.
Topping up costs from ₱59 for 120 coins, which is about 40 school days — roughly ₱1.50 a day.
Coins also buy costumes and weapons in the shop. Those are the same coins, so a 340-coin costume is about 113 school days of practice. Worth a conversation before your child spends.
